How We Use Cookies

Red Web Cambridge uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage features to run the website, remember visitor choices, protect forms from spam, and understand how the site is used.

Cookies and Browser Storage We Use

  • rw-ad-consent-v3 and zaraz-consent: First-party preference cookies that remember whether you accepted or declined optional advertising measurement, for up to six months. Previous notices, including version 2 which said OpenAI reporting was inactive, do not give permission for the new OpenAI server-side reporting.
  • rw-ad-attribution-v1: With your consent, session storage remembers approved campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers and the landing-page path for up to 30 minutes, so an enquiry can be linked to the advert after you visit another page. It is cleared when you decline measurement or close the browser tab.
  • rw-theme: Stores your light or dark mode preference in local browser storage.
  • Microsoft Advertising UET: If you accept the cookie notice, Microsoft Advertising may set or read cookies and similar identifiers to measure ad performance and conversions.
  • OpenAI: We do not load the OpenAI Measurement Pixel or browser SDK, set its measurement cookies or store conversion-event identifiers in your browser. With your consent, our server reports accepted enquiries as described below.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: May set or read Google cookies when you interact with the contact form. This helps protect the form from spam and abuse.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Real User Monitoring to understand website traffic and performance. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookie-free. It helps us see pages viewed, referral source, approximate country, device type, browser, and page performance without using traditional analytics cookies.

Advertising Measurement

With your consent, we use Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking to understand whether paid adverts lead to useful enquiries. It can record page visits, contact form submissions, phone clicks, email clicks, WhatsApp clicks, Microsoft click IDs, and campaign parameters.

With your consent, our own campaign attribution stores approved campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers and clean landing-page paths for up to 30 minutes in the browser tab. These details can accompany your enquiry to our enquiry service so we can identify which adverts led to enquiries, including ChatGPT adverts.

With your current advertising-measurement consent, our server sends an enquiry event to OpenAI only after our mail service accepts your enquiry. It includes a random event identifier, event type and time, our fixed public website address, and the original OpenAI ad-click identifier when available. We do not include names, email addresses, telephone numbers, companies, messages, contact-detail hashes, visitor IP addresses or browser user agents. Events use opt_out: true to opt out of future user-level personalisation. No OpenAI browser SDK or cookies are used, and declining does not prevent an enquiry.

Changing Your Choice

Use the Cookie settings button on any page to change your choice, then choose Decline to withdraw advertising-measurement consent. We stop future measurement, remove our stored attribution and reload the page to unload tracking scripts. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser. Withdrawing consent does not undo events already sent.
