Who We Are

Red Web Cambridge is a website design and development company based at 33 Hawkey Road, Cambridge, CB2 9ET. When we refer to "we", "us" or "our" in this policy, we mean Red Web Cambridge.

What Data We Collect

When you use our website or contact us, we may collect the following information:

  • Contact form submissions: Your name, email address, phone number, company name, and message content.
  • Analytics and advertising data: We use Cloudflare Web Analytics and Real User Monitoring to understand how visitors use our site. With consent, we also use Microsoft Advertising Universal Event Tracking to measure ad clicks, page visits, contact form submissions, and contact link clicks. This can include referral source, page URL, approximate location, device type, browser, Microsoft click ID, and campaign parameters.
  • Campaign attribution: With your consent, approved campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers and clean landing-page paths may accompany the enquiry sent to our own enquiry service. This helps us identify which adverts led to enquiries, including ChatGPT adverts.
  • OpenAI conversion reporting: With your current advertising-measurement consent, our server reports an enquiry event to OpenAI only after our mail service accepts the enquiry. The event includes a random event identifier, event type and time, our fixed public website address, and the original OpenAI ad-click identifier when available. We do not include your name, email address, telephone number, company, message, hashes of contact details, visitor IP address or browser user agent in these events. We set opt_out: true to opt the event out of future user-level personalisation.
  • Security and spam protection: We use Cloudflare to protect and deliver the website, and Google reCAPTCHA to protect our contact form from spam.

How We Use Your Data

We use the information collected to:

  • Respond to your enquiries and provide the services you request.
  • Improve our website and services based on aggregated analytics and advertising performance.
  • Send you relevant information about our services, only if you have opted in.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is processed securely. Contact form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS and processed via AWS Lambda. We do not store your data longer than necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.

Cookies

Our website uses limited cookies and similar browser storage for:

  • Cookie preference: To remember your current choice for up to six months using the rw-ad-consent-v3 and zaraz-consent cookies. Previous consent notices do not authorise the new OpenAI server-side reporting.
  • Theme preference: To remember your light or dark mode choice in local browser storage.
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: To understand site traffic and performance without analytics cookies.
  • Microsoft Advertising UET: With your consent, to understand whether Microsoft Ads leads to enquiries, phone clicks, email clicks, or WhatsApp clicks.
  • Our campaign attribution: With consent, approved campaign parameters, advertising click identifiers and clean landing-page paths are retained in the tab for up to 30 minutes and can be included in your enquiry to us. The original OpenAI ad-click identifier, when available, also accompanies the server-side enquiry event described above. We do not load the OpenAI Measurement Pixel or set its cookies. You can withdraw consent using Cookie settings on any page.
  • Google reCAPTCHA: To protect our contact form from spam submissions when you interact with the form.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services that may process your data:

  • Cloudflare: CDN, security, Web Analytics, and Real User Monitoring
  • Microsoft Advertising: ad conversion measurement and campaign performance tracking
  • OpenAI: consent-based server-side enquiry conversion reporting, with no customer contact details or their hashes included
  • Google reCAPTCHA: spam protection for contact forms
  • AWS Lambda: secure processing of contact form submissions

Declining advertising measurement does not prevent you from sending an enquiry. Withdrawing consent stops future measurement and clears our stored campaign attribution, but does not undo events already sent.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction or deletion of your personal data.
  • Object to or restrict the processing of your data.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.
